Ethnic women's network launched in Christchurch

Recently the Office of Ethnic Affairs launched the Christchurch Ethnic Working Women's Network (CEWWN) on 8 March.

The Christchurch Network aims to bring together ethnic women to connect, share information and raise awareness on issues around work and employment. Through bi-monthly meetings around focal topics, presentations and workshops, the Network seeks to empower ethnic women to actively participate in and contribute to the economic well-being of their families and communities and to promote the visibility of ethnic women in the workplace in Christchurch. The CEWWN will next meet on Saturday, 24 May.

There are ongoing Ethnic Women's Networks in Wellington and Auckland as well..  For further inquiries contact Oga Cho at 03 353-8312 or email oga.cho@dia.govt.nz
